Man dies at Aussie tourist hot spot

A man has died at a popular tourist spot after a truck accident in Melbourne.

Emergency services rushed to Hosier Lane in the city’s CBD at 7:15am on Monday morning after hearing reports a man was trapped between a truck and the wall.

The man, who was the driver of the truck, could not be saved and died at the scene.

“The exact circumstances surrounding the death are yet to be determined, however the matter is not being treated as suspicious,” a police spokesperson said.

He is yet to be formally identified.

WorkSafe and Victorian Police are currently investigating the incident.

Hosier Lane near Melbourne’s Flinders Street Station attracts thousands of people each year to see its graffiti murals as well as hip cafes and bars.
