David de Gea’s efforts for Manchester United have certainly caused a divide in opinion in recent years.
However, with his contract at the Red Devils now expired, one fan certainly looks ready to see the back of him.
After 12 years at the club, De Gea could very well be on his way out of Old Trafford this summer.
Although his deal has officially come to an end, United said on Friday that ‘discussions remain open with the long-serving keeper’ over a potential extension.
De Gea has by no means been shy of success during his time at the club given his Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Europa League winner’s medals.
However, his errors in goal have been a cause for a United supporter to upload an extensive compilation of his shortcomings.
Twitter user @EriksButcher posted a one-hour, 49-minute long video of the Spaniard.
Titled ‘David de Gea: Fraud’, it highlights pretty much all of the errors he has made from his debut season to the present day.
Failed clearances and saves, as well as poor positioning, make various appearances throughout.
Some of the errors also come from his international appearances with Spain in the video which is long enough to be classed as a movie.
Heavy defeats against Liverpool, including the 7-0 thumping in March, are also included.
De Gea won last season’s Premier League Golden Glove award with his 17 clean sheets, but his mistakes appear to be more memorable.
With a departure on the cards, Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta says United have ‘expressed an interest’ in Andre Onana this summer.
A departure for De Gea would spell the end of an era at Old Trafford, with a goalkeeping refresh potentially needed to take the club back to the top.
