Premier League clubs appear to be acting quickly to ensure that they get their business over the line early this summer. Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are among those to have already opened talks with their targets, with other members of the ‘Big Six’ expected to follow suit.
Chelsea are plotting a major midfield overhaul, with Mauricio Pochettino hoping to welcome at least two new signings in that department. The likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Conor Gallagher and Callum Hudson-Odoi are set to be offloaded in order to fund the shake-up.
Similarly, Manchester United and Liverpool are both in the market for reinforcements in the centre of the park – with Mason Mount identified by both clubs as a potential target. Arsenal are also keen on the England international, though their priority remains to prise Declan Rice away from West Ham.
