Kane’s future is almost constantly up for discussion and a summer exit is a possibility as he enters the final year of his contract in north London.
Spurs are keen to keep hold of their prolific forward but as he approaches his 30th birthday in July, he is running out of time to add trophies to his CV and is tempted by a move away from the club.
Manchester United and Bayern Munich have long been known to be interested in signing the England captain, but they could face competition from another giant of European football.
The Daily Mail report that Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Kane’s situation and are considering a move for him this summer, although there are plenty of moving parts to any deal being done.
Real manager Carlo Ancelotti’s future is not entirely clear as there is the possibility the Italian could leave at the end of the season if he fails to win La Liga or the Champions League.
The Spanish giants are still interested in Kylian Mbappe after coming close to signing the Frenchman last year and could make another move for the Paris Saint-Germain superstar.
Depending on who is in charge at the Santiago Bernabeu and how feasible a move for Mbappe is, Kane will become a higher or lower priority.
Manchester United are the favourites with the bookmakers to sign the 29-year-old this summer, but Real Madrid and Bayern Munich do hold an advantage over the Red Devils in that Spurs would rather sell their star player abroad than to a Premier League rival.
The decision will ultimately come down to Kane, though, who could still decide to stay with Tottenham until the end of his contract next year, or beyond.
