Man Utd eye goal machine, Tottenham offer rejected, Arsenal get green light

Manchester United will be under pressure to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window after whimpering to a 3-0 Premier League defeat at the hands of Bournemouth on Saturday. The Red Devils endured a dismal afternoon at Old Trafford as they lost for the seventh time this season in the top-flight.

Erik ten Hag is coming under increasing pressure after failing to get the best out of his players throughout the campaign. But he has been tipped to bring in RB Leipzig striker Lois Openda in the New Year if he remains in charge of the 13-time Premier League champions.

Arsenal saw their title ambitions derail on Saturday evening as they suffered a 1-0 loss to high-flying Aston Villa. The Gunners, who have been linked with Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi, would have returned to the top of the table with a victory but ultimately remained in second place after the match.

Meanwhile Chelsea, who travel to Everton on Sunday, are said to be in talks over Palmeiras’ teenage sensation Estevao Willian. And the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham will also be on the lookout for reinforcements during the transfer window.

There are plenty of transfer rumours ahead of the January window. So follow the Express Sport live transfer blog below for all the latest updates throughout the day.
