Bailly, who joined United from Villarreal in a £30million deal in 2016, has not featured under Erik ten Hag since the Dutchman’s arrival last year, spending the 2022-23 season out on loan with Marseille.
The 29-year-old has also been left out of the club’s pre-season tour of the US, remaining in Manchester with the defender among those who has been told he can leave this summer.
The Ivory Coast international appeared to hint a move could be imminent after sharing a picture of himself leaving United’s training base at Carrington with his bag packed, alongside the caption ‘Done’ with a tick.
Brought to the club by Jose Mourinho, persistent injuries have derailed Bailly’s career at United having not played for the club since December 2021.
A purchase option was included in his loan move to Marseille last summer but the defender did not play enough games to trigger the clause.
Reports have suggested United will accept offers of just £2million for Bailly.
Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe have already left United this summer after their contracts expired in July.
Charlie Savage and Zidane Iqbal have left to join FC Utrecht and Reading respectively with Alex Telles joining Saudi side Al-Nassr.
Anthony Elanga has fetched the biggest transfer fee so far this summer, joining Nottingham Forest in a £15million deal.
United will hope to raise further funds through player sales with Dean Henderson expected to join Elanga at Forest while West Ham United are eager to sign both Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay.
The Hammers have held initial talks with United move but it is believed there is a gap in valuations for both players.
United are not actively encouraging offers, viewing the duo as valuable squad players with it thought it would require considerable offers to consider cashing in.
