Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney has been linked with a move away from the Emirates this summer in search of regular playing time.
The Scot has been mentioned with moves to Newcastle and back to Celtic, having fallen behind Oleksandr Zinchenko in the pecking order.
Jakub Kiwior has also operated on the left side of the defence during pre-season, but Mikel Arteta has stated his desire to keep Tierney at the club.
“He is obviously in our plans,” Arteta told football.london. “He came on and did really good in pre-season, not for the first, and this is what we want.
“To increase the level of competition in the team and raise the level of each individual. That is going to be a huge benefit for the team to get to another level”
