Out-of-favour right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka has reportedly been placed on the Manchester United transfer list ahead of the arrival of manager Erik ten Hag this summer

Manchester United are set for an uncomfortable summer transfer window regarding Aaron Wan-Bissaka as they are likely to struggle to sell the £50million defender.
Wan-Bissaka, 24, arrived at Old Trafford from Crystal Palace in a mega-money transfer in 2019 after bursting onto the scene for his boyhood club. He quickly established himself as one of the best right-backs in the Premier League but his performances have dropped off considerably this season.
United interim boss Ralf Rangnick has frequently preferred Diogo Dalot to Wan-Bissaka since taking over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in November. There is more concerning news for the Croydon native as incoming manager Erik ten Hag is said to have put him on the transfer list along with four other players who are not in his plans.
Palace are reportedly interested in re-signing their former player but pulling off the reunion is likely to be anything but simple. That is because Wan-Bissaka earns a weekly wage in the region of £90,000 with the Red Devils, while Palace only pay two players – Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke – more than that.
As such, Selhurst Park chiefs would almost certainly have reservations about swooping for Wan-Bissaka as part of a permanent transfer. BBC Sport claims a loan deal is therefore a more likely option in order for the player to get his career back in track, with United potentially contributing to his wages.
Whereas Wan-Bissaka’s future is up in the air ahead of Ten Hag’s arrival this summer, Dalot is relishing the prospect of working under the highly-regarded Dutchman. The Portugal international was speaking ahead of helping United keep a clean sheet in their 3-0 victory over Brentford on Monday.

“I don’t think you need to see a lot to know that he is a great manager – what he’s done with Ajax is something outstanding,” Dalot told Sky Sports of Ten Hag. “He plays very attractive football, I think every fan of United is excited to have a manager like this, and we as the players are as well.
“In our heads, it’s going to be clear who the manager will be next season and that’s good because we go for our break in our heads knowing who to expect. Then we will have time in pre-season to work together, get our ideas right and start the new season.”
United’s win over Brentford was their final home Premier League game of the season and left them sixth in the table. They travel to Brighton and Palace in their final two fixtures.
