Man Utd star Sancho may be given a new position because of Garnacho

Using Sancho down the middle, however, could give United a solution.

It’s not an entirely alien position for the former Manchester City academy graduate and the stats, certainly, suggests he’s got what it takes to thrive there.

Sancho scored a hat-trick for Dortmund while playing as a No 9 against Paderborn in a 6-1 victory over the minnows back in June 2020.

And, from his 38 Bundesliga goals he managed during his time at the Westfalenstadion, an impressive 17 came from central positions.

In fact, all but one of his goals came from inside the penalty area – suggesting he’s got a knack of producing the goods when inside the box.
