The Glazer family are being faced with a fresh ultimatum over their ownership of the club as Sheikh Jassim grows increasingly confident of being successful in his bid.
Both the Qatari and Sir Jim Ratcliffe remain in the race to acquire the club, but according to CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs, there are only two outcomes which are realistic at this point.
“Still, we have the same situation where Nine Two Foundation and INEOS are in the process,” Jacobs told GiveMeSport.
“Maybe the only difference at this point is that there’s a real feeling on the Qatar side, that it will now be a case of them being successful, or a no sale, possibly with some kind of financing baked in.”
