The Manchester United takeover situation continues to rumble on at Old Trafford. Sheikh Jassim seems to be the frontrunner right now, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe losing ground in the race to oust the Glazers. And with the club agreeing a deal for Mason Mount, further transfer action is expected this summer.
Manchester United agreed a deal with Chelsea for Mount on Thursday, with the 24-year-old poised to move to Old Trafford for a fee of £60million.
And that means Sheikh Jassim will be saved some cash if, as expected, he claims power at the club.
The Glazers have signed off on this deal, despite widespread reports suggesting they’re looking increasingly likely to leave.
