Manchester United target Victor Osimhen has been compared to Didier Drogba by Jose Mourinho, who has sent a warning to the Nigerian striker if he moves to the Premier League.
Osimhen scored in Napoli’s 2-1 win over Mourinho’s Roma on Sunday to reach 15 goals in the Serie A this season. The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a £120m move to Old Trafford in the summer as Erik ten Hag wants a new striker.
And while Mourinho, 60, says he would buy Osimhen if he had the money, the Portuguese coach warned must stop diving if he wants to head to the Premier League in the future.
“He is of the same level as Drogba, but Didier didn’t dive. If Victor changes, then OK. I’d buy him if I was at a club with a lot of money,” Mourinho told reporters, as quoted by The Sun.
“However, if he does go to England one day, he needs to change, because in Italy they put up with this sort of behaviour, whereas in the Premier League, they’d come down hard on him.”
