The 29-year-old is on a short-term deal from Bayern Munich, signed in January to cover for the injured Christian Eriksen, who has since returned to fitness.
The Austrian has made nine Premier League appearances, seven of which have been in a starting XI, while he has also turned out in the Europa League, FA Cup and in the club’s successful Carabao Cup campaign.
Whether or not the Red Devils will push to keep him or Bayern Munich are keen to get him back is not yet clear, but he is enjoying his stay in the Premier League.
‘Here at United, everything is bigger. People are crazy about United. I enjoy being here, I’m very proud,’ Sabitzer told Sky SportDE.
On whether he has spoken to new Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel, he said: ‘Nothing as of now, everyone is focused on their task. We will discuss that at the right moment, no rush’
Speaking last month, United manager Erik ten Hag hinted that he would like to keep hold of the midfielder, praising his impact since arriving in January.
‘He’s [Sabitzer] doing fantastic,’ said Ten Hag. ‘He’s adjusted well to Manchester United and the Premier League. He is a great person and suits the dressing room well.
‘He’s an intelligent player and we’re happy with his role at this moment.’
