The CEO of a human resources and recruiting software company sold his Cherry Hills Village mansion plus an adjacent parcel for $9 million in March, earning the top spot on BusinessDen’s monthly top home sales list.

Steve Lucas and his wife Shelley purchased the 14,732-square-foot home at 5800 Piedmont Drive plus the adjacent 2-acre lot for $6.8 million in 2018, later transferring it to an LLC, according to property records.

Lucas is the CEO of iCIMS, and previously led Marketo, a California-based marketing automation software company that expanded to Denver in 2017, according to previous coverage. Marketo was acquired by Adobe in 2018 for $4.8 billion.

The Cherry Hills Village mansion is perched behind a gated entrance and features seven bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, 30-foot ceilings and a seven-car attached garage.

“Since ownership in 2018, the seller has spent over $2 million in enhancements, including a heated lap pool, jacuzzi, waterfall and outdoor Viking kitchen, patio shades, and more than 100 evergreen trees and a 40 tree fruit orchard,” according to the listing.

The Lucases sold the home to Kimia Mahmoodi on March 24, according to property records. Mahmoodi is the president of Nordic Analytical Laboratories, a cannabis testing lab in Denver, according to her LinkedIn.

Realtor Eric Grauberger of Compass Denver represented the sellers. Fara Novin of Re/Max Professionals represented the buyer.
