Margot Robbie proved slit-leg dresses can be super classy during Australian premiere of Babylon

Margot Robbie pulled out all the stops as she arrived in style at the Babylon movie premiere in her native Australia.

The 32-year-old took over the red carpet on Monday evening as she proved that thigh-high slits could be super classy in a floor-length satin baby blue gown. The mesmerising number boasted Grecian-style ruched detailing at the torso, while a contrasting red lace hem at the leg-split added a glorious pop of colour.

The former Neighbours soap star stood tall in a pair of towering strappy heels as she posed away for photographers in the attention-grabbing, plunging number. She relied on her naturally striking features with a simple coat of bronzed make-up, while her blonde locks fell in subtle beach waves.

Margot, who will soon take on the titular Barbie in the upcoming movie alongside Ryan Gosling, looked very much at ease as she returned to her roots Down Under to promote her new film.

Set in 1920s Hollywood, Babylon explores the early days of the movie scene, when silent films were beginning to transition to sound, or ‘talkies’. Margot plays the role of Nellie LaRoy in the movie, which also stars Brad Pitt and Diego Calva.

Meanwhile, Margot has been taking over the red carpets worldwide. For the UK premiere of the film, she wore a red shapeless, backless Valentino gown. This came just days after she wore a pastel pink fitted Chanel gown to the event – which reportedly took an astonishing 750 hours to make – to the Golden Globes 2023 in Los Angeles.

We have to admit, though, we cannot wait for her style choices during the upcoming promotional trail for Barbie. Margot Robbie, bring on the hot pink!
