Mark Cuban, billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks, is one of the most well-known figures in the United States, thanks to his role on the hit TV show, “Shark Tank.”
His longtime wife, Tiffany Stewart, is more behind the scenes.
However, as Parade wrote on Wednesday, she’s well deserving of some major praise.
“In 2000, three years after they met, The New York Times published a profile of the couple. Among other things, it revealed that Stewart was still getting used to the 24,000-square-foot mansion Cuban had purchased after his massive Broadcast.com sale in 1999 (he sold the video portal to Yahoo for $5.7 billion). She called the house “impractical,” and said that, despite living together, Cuban was hard to pin down—the investor apparently divided his time into blocks of seconds,” they wrote.
“They also had different sleeping schedules, which was at least partially due to Cuban’s computer. “He can’t turn it off. He just can’t!” Stewart said.”
Initially, Cuban’s level of wealth appeared to make his wife uncomfortable.
“Stewart still drives a Honda to her sales job at an ad agency,” The NYT wrote in their profile of her.
Now, she gives a lot back, working with Hoops ‘n Hopes organization and the Mays Foundation, among others.
Cuban, meanwhile, is still hoping to win his second NBA championship, hoping to build a great team around Luka Doncic.
Perhaps we’ll see Mark and Tiffany celebrating a championship at some point.
