Sevilla keeper Marko Dmitrovic ATTACKED by a pitch invader during 2-0 win over PSV… but the thug gets more than he bargained for as Serbian fights back and pins him down before calling for UEFA action

Sevilla goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic was forced to pin down a pitch invader after the the supporter tried to attack him in a dramatic finish in Eindhoven.

The ugly clash happened in the closing stages of the second leg of the Europa League play-off clash between PSV and the Spanish side.

Sevilla headed into the game with a 3-0 lead from the first leg and were given a scare after Luuk de Jong had opened the scoring against his former side in the 77th minute.

Despite a late Fabio Silva second that gave PSV a 2-0 win on the night, Jorge Sampaoli’s side held on to reach the last-16.

However, the end of the game was marred by a fan running onto the pitch and trying to assault Dmitrovic – who has now called on UEFA to ‘intervene’.

‘I have never seen anything like it,’ Dmitrovic told Movistar Plus as a bruise could be seen on his neck.

‘I’ll keep my mouth shut so I don’t say what I would really like to do in that moment.

‘He wanted to hurt me, it’s a shame that something like this happens in football field. UEFA must intervene.’

The intruding fan stunningly threw a punch at the Sevilla goalkeeper, but Dmitrovic managed to wrestle him to the ground.

The 31-year-old was then able to pin the hooligan down and keep him there until other players arrived to help with the situation.

Stewards and security staff then arrived on the scene to lead the fan away from the pitch.

Following the game, Sampaoli was understandably not happy at all with what had gone on.

‘What happened today seems very serious to me,’ he later added to reporters.

‘I don’t know the type of sanction I should have taken, because it should have been more severe.  It is incredibly sad that this has happened. I find it worrying; this type of thing needs to stop.

‘We need to work together to ensure it does. This cannot happen again in the future.’

Security services then arrived to lead the fan off the pitch after the extremely ugly scenes
