Podcaster and momfluencer Bobbi Althoff, whose interview with Drake became a viral sensation last month, is refuting claims the pair had a brief fling that led them both to unfollow one another on social media and delete their chat online.

Althoff, a married mother of two, took to her Instagram Story to dismiss the rumours by sharing “an uncensored DM” exchange with Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy.

“My girlfriend says you hooked up with Drake and got divorced. I am saying that is not true,” Portnoy wrote to Althoff in messages posted and then captured by Page Six.

“I am not commenting publicly but off the record, you’re right that is not true,” the 26-year-old replied, adding, “I did not want to do this podcast in the first place, and now so much negativity is coming from it.”

Earlier this week, a social media sleuth noticed that Althoff’s awkward interview with the Toronto-born rapper on her The Really Good Podcast had been removed from her YouTube channel and podcasting platforms.

Bobbi Althoff & Drake unfollowed each other on Instagram and she seems to have deleted any content from her Drake interview on socials,” an X (formerly Twitter) user posted in a message that garnered nearly 35 million views.

The bombshell comes after Althoff, who describes herself as a “master interviewer with weeks of experience interviewing celebrities,” shared a clip of herself looking unimpressed as she attended Drake’s It’s All a Blur tour stop in Los Angeles.

“Really in my element @ this guy’s concert,” she captioned the post.

After it was posted, Althoff’s chat with Drake quickly amassed over 10 million views on her YouTube channel. During their nearly hour-long conversation, Althoff, who launched her podcast earlier this year, queried the Hotline Bling hitmaker about his personal life using her trademark deadpan style of interviewing in which she asked questions like, “Why do you think people like you?,” “Why do you follow so many people on Instagram?” and “When did you learn to walk? Weren’t you in a wheelchair? (which was a reference to his role as Jimmy Brooks on Degrassi: The Next Generation).

As their bedroom interview took off, Althoff, who boasts 723,000 subscribers on YouTube, told Cosmopolitan that she was quickly able to ramp up interest in her podcast by paying for access to celebrities.

“I made a video on TikTok saying that I would give $300 to any person who successfully connected me to a celebrity for a podcast,” she said. “Rick Glassman, the comedian, was the first person I was able to interview because somebody tagged him, and he was like, ‘OK, I’ll do it.’ So I sent her $300 and did the episode with Rick Glassman.”

She was able to snag Drake after she noticed he followed her on Instagram and liked one of her videos.

“I decided to just go for it and shoot my shot. I DMed Drake and asked if he wanted to be on my podcast, and he said yes,” Althoff told Cosmo. “He sent me his touring schedule, and I knew that I needed to make it happen fast, so my friend and I flew to Memphis two days after the original DM was sent to record the episode.”

Althoff, who is married to tech exec Cory Althoff, chalked up her success in landing such big names — she’s also featured Mark Cuban, Lil Yachty, Tyga and more — to her lack of preparation and apparent disinterest in the people she’s talking to.

“There’s no prep, and that’s the fun of it,” she said of her interview style. “I think that’s why celebrities are down to do it. They know it’s a character, and we just wing it. It’s not a real interview. I’m not trying to get hard-hitting information about you — I’m not trying to uncover anything. It’s just a conversation. It’s really a parody of a good interview.”

Later, she revealed the two personalities she hopes to speak with next on The Really Good Podcast.

“I love Post Malone,” she said. “I would love to interview him. I saw him in a Buffalo Wild Wings back in the day. He just walked in with his entourage and I remember thinking, ‘Oh my God, he’s so normal. Why is he walking to Buffalo Wild Wings?’ I just love him. And then Tyler Hoechlin from Teen Wolf. He went to the same high school as me.”

During a recent stop on the Today show, Althoff told Jenna Bush Hager and guest co-host Justin Sylvesteron the idea for the podcast came to her in April.

“I’ve always done this character, which is dry humour. And I was like, I’m just going to bring her along for a podcast.”
