Martha Stewart just posted a (probably photoshopped) nude throwback

Martha Stewart is really living her best life, huh? The formerly incarcerated queen of tablescapes and linens has fully embraced Instagram as her social media platform of choice, offering delicious peeks into her estate, her many celebrity friendships, and of course, food creations. And recently she posted a nude. Well, a throwback nude in which her bits are concealed. Also, it’s probably not really her.

“Do you remember this????? omg!!!” Stewart wrote on Instagram under a picture of her hand holding the August 1996 issue of Spy magazine. Spy, for those who don’t know, was a majorly influential satirical publication helmed by ex–Vanity Fair editor-in-chief Graydon Carter that frequently mocked celebrities and elites (Donald Trump was a favourite punching bag) and almost always had photoshopped covers to illustrate ridiculous scenarios. Zoom in even a little, and you’ll see that Stewart’s head appears pasted onto someone else’s body.

In the picture (the Instagram picture, not the seashell picture), Stewart’s rocking a metallic manicure and holding the mag in front of her bookshelf. What other treasures line your walls, Martha?

Just because she’s posting throwbacks doesn’t mean she isn’t keeping up with the times, though. After another picture of her went viral (Martha Stewart and Pete Davidson holding hands; not photoshopped), she weighed in on her (joke) rumoured celebrity affair, telling the press, “Pete Davidson is like the son I never had…. He is a charming boy who is finding his way. I’ve invited him to come on my podcast, and I look forward to hearing what he has to say.”

No, but really, Stewart is looking for a lover closer to her own age, which is 81. And she knows just where she’ll find him: at a friend’s funeral. She recently quipped that she’s waiting for her pals to die so she can date their husbands. Now, that’s a cover girl with a sense of humour!
