In a statement, it said that the company has decided to recall 7,213 Baleno RS vehicles manufactured between 27th Oct, 2016 and 01st Nov, 2019.
The recall is due to a possible defect in Vacuum Pump.
“It is suspected that there is a possible defect in Vacuum Pump (“Parts”), which assists the brake function. In a rare case, the affected vehicle may require increased effort in brake pedal application,” the company said.
The company assured consumers that affected vehicle owners will be receiving communication from Maruti Suzuki authorized dealer workshops for replacement of the defective parts, free of cost.
Earlier in January, Maruti issued a recall of over 17,000 vehicles manufactured between December 8, 2022 and January 12, 2023. The recall was due to a faulty airbag controller placed in the Alto K10, S Presso, Eeco, Brezza, Baleno and Grand Vitara.
