Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered v.2.217.1.0 Patch Improves Performance With CPUs With High Physical Core Counts

A new Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered patch is now live on PC, bringing changes that introduce performance improvements on systems powered by CPUs with a high number of physical cores.

The v.2.217.1.0 patch‘s performance optimizations affect AMD Ryzan 7 and 9 CUpus and Intel Core i7 and i9 processors 11th generation and older. The patch also addresses an issue that causes the game to freeze temporarily at low frame rates, a buffer overflow that can cause crashes on Windows 11, and a crashing issue that affects Steam Deck play when changing settings. The new Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered patch also introduces performance improvements on systems with less than 3GB of video memory in combination with more than 8 GB of system memory.

Since its launch, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered has been updated multiple times with performance improvements and new features. The game’s October 2022 patches introduced support for NVIDIA DLSS 3, which improves performance considerably with ray tracing on NVIDIA RTX 4000 series GPUs as well as Intel XeSS support, giving another upscaling technology option for those who don’t own an NVIDIA RTX GPU capable of using DLSS.

Outside of exclusive features such as DLSS Support and Ultrawide resolutions support, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on PC is the same great experience it is on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. You can learn more about the PC port by checking out Alessio’s piece and about the PlayStation 4 release by reading Kai’s review.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is now available on PC and PlayStation 5 worldwide. The original version of the game is available on PlayStation 4.
