Mask mandates lifted the minute this wedding started!

For many recent weddings, COVID threw a spanner in the works for the worse, but not for Monique and Antonino.

The WA Government lifted mask mandates the day of their nuptials, at the exact time their reception commenced, in which Monique says “couldn’t have been any more perfect”.

The lovebirds of three years met working in ALDI and became inseparable after just one shift together.

Monique ended up having to walk down the aisle with not only her dad, but her one-year-old son too as he refused to be chaperoned by one of her bridesmaids.

When and where

The couple hosted their ceremony in the Hidden Gardens at Caversham House on January 7, 2022.

Dress

“It was love at first sight,” says Monique, who knew the dress she wanted to wear before even meeting her husband. The bride spotted her ‘Clo’ dress on Instagram from local bridal store Grace Loves Lace and knew it was the one instantly.

Honeymoon

The pair spent a few nights at the Doubletree by Hilton Waterfront, but decided at the last minute that their honeymoon was not over yet. So Monique and Antonino swapped the city for the Swan Valley, and stayed at The Vines for another few nights.
