Matthew McConaughey is not much of a fashionista, but his wife and children are. The Oscar winner’s two oldest children, Vida, 13, and Levi, 14, attended Paris Fashion Week alongside their model mother, Camila Alves McConaughey. Camila brought Vida and Levi to the Stella McCartney fall/winter 2023 show, which was presented over the weekend. Ten-year old Livingston was not present.
Camila, Vida, and Levi coordinated in neutrals. Camila wore a beige Western-style hat (are you really a McConaughey if you are not within six feet of one?), and a beige suit with a cropped jacket over a black bra. Meanwhile, Vida wore a casual but elevated graphic dress with sneakers, and Levi, a king of layering, wore a beige shacket over a plaid matching set.
Camila Alves met Matthew McConaughey in 2006. Levi was born in 2008, and Vida in 2010. The couple got engaged in 2011 and wed in 2012. Later the same year, they welcomed their third child, Livingston. The family currently calls Austin, Texas, their home.
Matthew and Camila usually keep a fairly low-profile and once revealed they forgot their first wedding anniversary. “We don’t keep up with this kind of stuff. We were at an event together and he was being interviewed by one reporter and I was being interviewed by another and the guy said to him, ‘Congratulations on your anniversary.’ “Matthew was like, ‘Oh! I wonder if Camilla has realised’. He turned to me and I was all, “What anniversary?’ We are both the same.” As well as her rubbish memory, Camila also spoke about Oscars night: “The day of the event I was very calm and relaxed. But then they said his name I was just shaking all over. I was our of my body. I was so happy for him. I was just like ‘Wow – look at him up here! Look at him!’ “It took a while to sink in. It was only when the show was over that it got to me and I was really teary eyed, crying all over.” Camila has taken a back seat from modelling and is living a slightly nomadic lifestyle with her family. “One thing that we decided very early in the relationship is that when he goes, we all go – the whole family. “We’re like a travelling circus … We’re always on the go. We’ve been on the road for four years. It’s a little bit challenging but it’s really good for us and for the kids, too, because they’re really present [in our lives].”
