Mauritanian President condemns terrorist Houthi attack on civil facilities in UAE in phone call with Mohamed bin Zayed

ABU DHABI, 18th January, 2022 (WAM) — Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, President of Mauritania, has reiterated his country’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the drone attacks, which were carried out by the terrorist Houthi militia on civil facilities in the UAE and led to the death of three civilians and left several injured.

In a phone call he made today to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the Mauritanian President expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and his wishes of a speedy recovery for the injured.

Ghazouani also reiterated Mauritania’s full solidarity with the UAE, and its support of any action that the UAE may take to ensure its security and defend itself against terrorist attacks.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed expressed his deep thanks and appreciation for the sincere feelings expressed by the Mauritanian President and his country’s support of the UAE, and his wishes of undisturbed peace for the Mauritania and its people.
