Maxis Zerolution Now Offers PlayStation 5 Horizon Forbidden West Bundle

More than a year ago, Maxis had begun offering non-smartphone devices for its Zerolution programme and interesting enough, one of them was the Sony PlayStation 5. Given how in demand the gaming console was (and still is until today), the news has garnered plenty of interest.

We have not checked the offering since then but yesterday, we stumbled upon a Facebook advert regarding it and learned that Maxis has made some changes to the PS5 Zerolution scheme. While the telco continues to offer the Digital Edition of the PS5 which has no disc drive, the console now comes in the form of the Horizon Forbidden West bundle.

In addition to that, the telco also no longer provides an additional DualSense controller and a 12-month PlayStation Plus subscription. In other words, what customers will get through the PS5 Zerolution scheme today is just a vanilla version of the PS5 Digital Edition Horizon Forbidden West bundle which covers the console and the game themselves as well as just one DualSense controller.

That being said, the telco has since expanded the customers’ eligibility scope for its PS5 scheme. Instead of being limited to Maxis Unlimited Postpaid & Fibre and Maxis Family Plan customers with an 800Mbps plan, those with a 500Mbps plan are now eligible for the scheme as well.

However, the RM1 per month offer is still limited to 800Mbps customers. On the other hand, the 500Mbps need to pay between RM10 to RM73 per month depending on their plan and the Zerolution instalment period that they choose.

All in all, customers that choose to obtain PS5 via Zerolution have to fork out a monthly fee of between RM229 to RM300 which covers the Home Fibre plan and the console itself. Just like any subscription and instalment scheme out there, we always recommend you to fully read and understand Zerolution’s terms and conditions [HERE and HERE] as well as its FAQ documents [HERE and HERE] so that you are aware of what exactly you are signing up for.
