Maxwell Osborne’s anOnlyChild Launches New Campaign for Debut Collection

February sees the release of the first-ever collection from the Maxwell Osborne-founded anOnlyChild label, complete with an accompanying campaign shot by Bon Duke with styling by Ronald Burton III.

Pieces in the inaugural collection were made using fabrics and materials obtained from friends, as well as from excess cuttings and sample room floor scraps. Osborne was inspired by the ancient Egypt punch-needle technique when binding together different materials to form a new hybrid fabric.

“While this process prevents us from recreating a consistency throughout the collection, we consider it to be an advantage,” Osborne explained in a press release. “Each of our garments retains the soul of their fabric’s previous life to form something unique, one-of-a-kind, and sort of like an only child.”

Starting Feb. 1, the collection—including mesh tops and puff sleeve two-piece sets—will be available via the official anOnlyChild site. Select pieces from the collection will also be available at Saks Fifth Avenue New York.
