Mayweather payment warning made by Logan Paul ahead of Deji showdown

Mayweather payment warning made by Logan Paul ahead of Deji showdown

Logan Paul has advised Deji Olatunji to get “paid upfront” for his November 13 clash with Floyd Mayweather after the YouTube star claimed there were ‘millions’ missing from his paycheck when he faced TBE in 2021.

Paul and Mayweather went the eight-round distance at the Hardrock Stadium in Miami last June with no winner being declared in their non-scoring bout. The Maverick was due £15million for his efforts but alleges that Mayweather still owes him several million over one year later.

“I got paid a little bit; not like I should have got paid. I’m missing out on a few million. Tell him to f***ing pay me bro, he probably owes me between two and three [million],” Paul said during an episode of the Impaulsive podcast.

In response to the accusations, Mayweather replied: “This is the guy who said he didn’t get paid which we know is truly false, which is why I don’t entertain the bull**** a lot of the time.

The former pound-for-pound king kicked off his new venture in 2018 with a first-round knockout victory over kickboxing star Tenshin Nasukawa before partaking in two non-scoring contests against Paul and former sparring partner Don Moore.

On Saturday, he stopped Japanese MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura in the second round at the Saitama Super Arena and will now take on Deji a month and a half later. Deji – formerly known as ComedyShortsGamer – is the younger brother of KSI and is part of the recent influx of influencer boxers.

After losing his first three white-collar boxing bouts to Jake Paul, Vinnie Hacker, and Alex Wassabi he recorded his first victory in a professional contest against fellow YouTuber Yusef ‘Fousey’ Erakat. A weight has yet to be announced for the fight although Deji has weighed in as light as 168lb and as heavy as above 200lb prior outings.
