Mazda will offer a dashing new Suna Edition package on several of its Canadian-market models for 2024, the automaker said early June, suggesting the option represents a “unique stylistic path for owners to take.” The headling features of the Suna Edition cars include “gloss black exterior flourishes, such as black metallic aluminum alloy wheels, side mirrors, and front grille.”

But the Suna Edition will also be the only version to wear Mazda’s Zircon Sand Metallic; matched with an interior that blends “terracotta upholstery with black suede inserts [and] terracotta stitching and gunmetal accents.” In other words, brown exterior on brown interior—talk about classy.

The Suna Edition package will be available on the upcoming 2024 Mazda3 Sport, MX-30 EV, CX-30, and CX-5; pricing for the package will be released in the future, alongside the pricing for those models for the 2024 model year.
The Suna Edition essentially replaces the previous Kuro Edition, which also offered glossy black bits. And like the Kuro, the Suna package is a Canadian exclusive—sort of. The States will get just as close to the same thing, but there it’s badged the Carbon Turbo Edition (the Kuro’s U.S. counterpart was called the Carbon Edition, no “Turbo”) and it’s a Carbon Turbo CX-5 interior you’re looking at in the photo above.
