Club cricketers in Mumbai were eagerly waiting to play in the Dr HD Kanga Cricket League. However, they will have to wait for a few more weeks as Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has postponed ‘A’ to ‘D’ Division matches due to ongoing heavy rains and unplayable ground conditions. The opening round of matches
was scheduled to be played at various grounds on July 30.

“The revised date for the postponed matches will be informed shortly. All the participating clubs and players are requested to note the same,” MCA secretary
Ajinkya Naik and Jt Secretary Deepak Patil said in a statement.
However, there is good news for the players as this year MCA has kept four reserve days for the washed out games, which will help organisers to play a minimum of five games to decide the champion team.
Teams in Division ‘E’, ‘F’, ‘G’ and ‘H’ are scheduled to play their opening games on August 6.
