Meet The Ten Rising Filmmakers Of The Tribeca Chanel Women’s Filmmaker Program

Longtime collaborators Tribeca and Chanel hosted its 8th annual Through Her Lens: The Tribeca Chanel Women’s Filmmaker Program kickoff luncheon at Locanda Verde in downtown New York City on September 20. The event brought together women in entertainment to celebrate their filmmaking community and the 10 emerging female filmmakers selected for the three day workshop program, presented by Tribeca and Chanel, in collaboration with Pulse Films. The program seeks to discover and empower these rising filmmakers with project support, master classes, one on one mentorship, peer to peer sessions and will award $100,000 for project development and production.

Producers Jane Rosenthal and Paula Weinstein gathered actors, directors, writers, producers, casting directors and costume designers including directors Patty Jenkins (Wonder Woman), Chai Vasarhelyi (Free Solo), Katie Holmes (Alone Together) and Karyn Kusama (Jennifer’s Body), actors Annette Bening, Grace Gummer, Dianna Agron and Zosia Mamet to toast the ten Through Her Lens filmmaker finalists. Maya Rose Ditloff, Aubrey Campbell, Wendi Tang, Hongwei Wu, Faye Ruiz, Kate Gondwe, Letia Amber Solomon, Krenee Tolson, Kristie Ko and Merissa Jane Lee were feted by their contemporaries for this honor.
