Megan Fox is making ‘salmon girl summer’ a thing

Barbiecore is over, Lemon Girl Style is peaking, and we’re all wondering what comes next. For Megan Fox, it’s Salmon Girl Summer. She and on-again fiancé Machine Gun Kelly recently stepped out for a date night in their usual mix of sexy high fashion and slightly hmm choices. And Fox, in particular, caught our eye for looking not entirely unlike a piece of smoked sockeye salmon. Go off, sashimi!

The star’s makeup artist shared a look at the Jean Paul Gaultier dress, which is sheer with stripes of pink and orange. It definitely reminds us of the patterned Muglers so popular with sheer body-con aficionados. (I am almost certain that I’ve seen another star wearing basically the same thing in black, but I can’t remember who, and it’s going to bug me for the rest of the day, so that’s something to look forward to for me personally.)

Fox paired the garment with nipple pasties, though she also covered the girls with her arm while out and about, so maybe they came off at some point.

For his part, rapper Kelly wore a tank top emblazoned with the phrase “Father Figure.”

Megan Fox paired the dress with a stack of bejewelled chokers, including one that looks like a snake (is she a Rep Era girlie?!), a full face of makeup, and a slick updo. Her nails are white talons with some sort of figure on them, but I wouldn’t put money on being able to tell you what.

The red hair reminds us of another sultry stunner, Emily Ratajkowski, who recently made the transition to copper locks. With EmRata rocking a peachy-pink minidress earlier today, we’d say Salmon Girl Summer is officially on. Just don’t tell the boys or they’ll resurrect the preppy trend whose name we dare not speak.
