Perth-born supermodel Megan Gale has taken to the catwalk for the first time in 15 years.
Gale appeared at the David Jones Autumn Winter collection in Melbourne where she opened and closed the show.
The runway marked a special reunion for the model and Australian fashion retailer.
Gale was the brand ambassador of David Jones from 2001 to 2014 and graced the store’s catwalks until 2008.
The mother-of-two took a lengthy hiatus from runway shows to focus on her family and other business opportunities.
Gale said it felt “really lovely” to be back on the catwalk and working with David Jones.
“It is quite extraordinary how much time has passed and what has happened with David Jones and also myself and my own life,” she told the Herald Sun.
“It just feels really lovely to come together for such an important milestone and it was an absolute honour to be asked. It wasn’t even a hesitation about whether or not I could do it, it was just an immediate ‘yes’.”
Her fiancé, former Richmond player and Australian Survivor contestant, Shaun Hampson was sat in the front row to watch her runway return.
