With all the Met Gala preparation from facials to fittings posted on Instagram over the weekend leading up to the event, I was surprised to see Megan Thee Stallion debut baby blue highlights on Sunday, May 1, just one day before the first Monday in May. While they most definitely could be clip-in extensions, similar to the ones I used to beg my mom to buy me at Claire’s, I’m sure the rapper wasn’t doing anything permanent… just fancier than my $5 pack of hair tinsels — which always broke minutes upon application.
Megan is known to wear some itty bitty outfits during her concerts, but because I’m someone who lives and breathes beauty, her hair and makeup always catch my attention first. This particular rainbow one-piece, worn with nude fishnets and acrylic nails longer than my fingers, tied her multicolored rhinestone outfit to the baby blue eye shadow and hair highlights. The baby blue streaks are so subtle and thin that I had to really zoom in to see if they were only framing her face or if they went around her entire head, which they do.
