Six months ago, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their second child, Lilibet Diana—and today, the couple revealed the first glimpse of their daughter in their family holiday card. Taken at their home in Montecito, California, the photo was captured by Alexi Lubomirski, the couple’s favored photographer who also shot their engagement photos and official family portraits on their wedding day. Then, it was shared via Team Rubicon, a disaster response NGO that the couple has been supporting for their efforts in resettling refugee families from Afghanistan.
“This year, 2021, we welcomed our daughter, Lilibet, to the world,” the couple wrote in an accompanying message. “Archie made us a ‘mama’ and a ‘papa,’ and Lili made us a family.” They also noted that during this year’s season of giving, they would be making a series of donations to charities they support, including Team Rubicon, Welcome.US, Human First Coalition, and Humanity Crew. “As we look forward to 2022 we have made donations on your behalf to several organizations that honor and protect families—from those being relocated from Afghanistan to American families in need of paid parental leave,” they added.
