Phoenix Mercury center Brittney Griner has been listed as doubtful for tonight’s game against the Washington Mystics as she deals with a hip injury.
Griner missed the second half of Tuesday’s 83-69 loss to the Seattle Storm because of the same injury issue.

Griner has played in every game for the Mercury so far this season, averaging 20.1 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest. She recorded a season-high 29 points in Phoenix’s win over the Indiana Fever on Sunday.
Griner has been averaging these impressive numbers despite missing the entire 2021-22 season due to her detainment in Russian prison. Her return to the United States and her return to the WNBA court has been a huge viewership draw to start this year’s campaign.
After tonight’s game in D.C., the Mercury will play against the New York Liberty on Sunday.
