Mumbai Indians have made a significant recovery after their traditional slow start to the season. Punjab Kings, on the other hand, have failed to capitalize on their good start and find themselves in the mid-table region.

Mumbai Indians vs Punjab Kings – MI vs PBKS Match 31 Team News, Injury Update
MI Team News vs PBKS: Mumbai Indians have been injury-stricken in this season. They lost Jasprit Bumrah, Jhye Richardson due to injuries while Jofra Archer is also carrying a niggle and haven’t played a part in their last few games.
Fortunately, they have found a winning combination and have formed a settled unit in the last couple of matches. With three overseas in the original starting lineup, they have found enough options to bring in an Impact overseas player to play a big part in either bowling or batting.
And it looks like the ploy will be more of the same against Punjab Kings. Don’t expect too many changes in the MI squad and they may settle with the same playing team as the last match.
PBKS Team News vs MI: Punjab have made some changes in their last few matches, som have been forced and a couple has been tactical. The introduction of Liam Livingstone didn’t have a big impact but the Englishman is set to start against MI.
On the other hand, their batting has looked pale in absence of captain Shikhar Dhawan, who is still doubtful after a shoulder injury. The form of Prabhsimran Singh will be a boost but their batters will have to step up collectively to thwart the MI bowling unit.
Sam Curran, who has been leading PBKS in absence of Dhawan has looked underwhelming so far and a good show with bat and ball is imperative. Dhawan is set to undergo another fitness test and his availability will only be confirmed after that.
