“It was a skit, it went the way it went, and all is well,” McGregor added.
The Heat hosted the Denver Nuggets in Game 4 of the NBA Finals in Miami on Friday. During the game, McGregor made an appearance with Burnie on the court to promote a pain-relief spray.

During the skit, Burnie dressed up as a boxer and wore boxing gloves and a satin-like robe. It appeared they were ready to engage in some friendly – but fake – fisticuffs.
But McGregor appeared to get carried away and punched Burnie with a roundhouse left, sending the mascot flying to the floor. McGregor landed a second punch while the mascot was down before being dragged away by arena staff.

The man was reportedly sent to hospital, where he received pain medication and was then discharged.
McGregor was asked if the man in the mascot suit was actually doing OK.
“I spent a lot of time with him afterward, we talked it out and everything is great,” he said. “It was a skit, it was part of the show.”
