The Portland Trail Blazers have made it clear they are in no rush to trade Damian Lillard; if the return package isn’t right, they won’t do it.
Lillard wants to go to the Miami Heat, and the feeling is mutual. According to Aaron Fentress of The Oregonian on his “Blazer Focused” podcast, a possible agreement between the two teams might not be far off.
Currently, Fentress says he has heard the Heat have an offer on the table that includes three first-round picks and young guard Tyler Herro.
“If [Portland] can come out of this with four first-round picks, at least one, if not two, young talents, and then salary filler, that should get it done,” Fentress said. “I’m told that right now, Miam has three firsts, Herro, filler, and maybe a young player already—like willing to go with that.”

If the Heat are unwilling to include a fourth first-rounder, and Portland is dead set on having one, it’s possible a third team could become involved in the proceedings, as Fentress noted.
Lillard has spent his entire career thus far with Portland, but his loyalty to the franchise finally hit a breaking point this offseason.
