Before Michael Jordan agreed to his own noteworthy sale, his former Chicago mansion went for a huge amount on the housing market.
According to Dennis Rodkin of Chicago Business, Jordan’s former penthouse on Lake Shore Drive sold for $6.82 million in May. He bought the home in the 1990s but sold it with his ex-wife in 2014.
The condo, which consists of three separate units, combines for 8,000 square feet. It’s Chicago’s third-highest home sale of the year.
Meanwhile, one of Jordan’s Chicago mansions has remained on the market for a decade. Business Insider reported last month that he’s cut the asking price from $29 million to $14.9 million and offered to include a complete set of Air Jordans.
The Highland Park home has a tennis court, putting green, infinity pool, and a full-sized indoor basketball court.
Jordan, however, completed another major deal when agreeing to sell his majority share of the Charlotte Hornets for approximately $3 billion. The former Bulls legend spent 13 years as Charlotte’s owner.
