Another piece of Michael Jordan memorabilia up for auction, another incredible sale price.
Per longtime sports business reporter Darren Rovell, Jordan’s famous 1992 Olympics podium jacket that he draped a flag over to cover the Reebok logo reportedly sold for $1.51 million at Sotheby’s.
The jacket was also cosigned by NBA executive Brian McIntyre, who was gifted the item by His Airness himself.

Just two months ago, a pair of Jordan’s game-worn “Bred” sneakers sold for $2.2 million, cementing MJ as the most valuable athlete in sports memorabilia. Last year, one of his jerseys sold for $10.1 million, the most ever paid for a game-worn collectible in auction history.
From Jordan Brand’s sales to “The Last Dance,” fans still can’t seem to get enough of the GOAT two decades after his retirement.
More than 20 years later, Jordan’s iconography lives on. And it seems it will remain that way for a long, long time.
