The Denver Nuggets dominated Game 1 of the NBA Finals with a wire-to-wire victory over the Miami Heat.
To the outside viewer, the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference played extremely well. But to head coach Mike Malone, there’s plenty of room for improvement.
“I don’t think we played well in Game 1…I’m not worried about what they’re going to do, I’m worried about the things we have to do better to try to win Game 2,” Malone said in a press conference on Saturday.

The Nuggets finished Game 1 with a 104-93 victory over the Heat. At on point in the game, they led by as many as 24 points. Two-time league MVP Nikola Jokic posted his ninth triple-double of the postseason and Jamal Murray chipped in 26 points and 10 assists.
Malone’s squad is undefeated at Denver’s Ball Arena so far this postseason, and they’ll look to keep that streak alive with another win in Game 2 on Sunday night.
