Mike Tindall has finally shed light on what he was looking at during King Charles’s Coronation ceremony.
The former rugby player was caught on camera staring into space the day after he enjoyed a date night with his wife, Zara Tindall.
However, during Friday’s Good Morning Britain, Mike detailed what really happened to hosts Kate Garraway and Adil Ray.
Kate began: “You both look fabulous at the Coronation, and indeed the Sunday concert as well.
“You mentioned the last night was a little bit of a party night. First of all, you had a late night before the Coronation, didn’t you?

“I mean, that speaks of royal confidence to me…that before the coronation, you went out for dinner with a group of other members of the Royal Family and then you two carried on.”
“It was nice to have a little date night,” Mike replied. “Sometimes when you’ve got three children it’s not always the easiest to get out and just have a drink together.
“So it was quite nice to have a little bit of time where we could just go out and have drinks and have a chat.”
Adil went on to joke: “The night goes late and everyone goes, ‘Oh what have we got on tomorrow? Have I got any meetings tomorrow? Shall we have another drink?’
“‘Charles is having his Coronation, we can stay out a little bit later’, I mean, you must have had that conversation and thought, ‘No, we are going to party a bit longer’.”
Mike explained: “Adil, never worry about what’s tomorrow, you can deal with it later.”
Kate proceeded to show viewers pictures of Mike and Zara from the Coronation, with Adil telling him: “You stole the show from Lionel Richie.”
“Don’t worry,” Mike chipped in as he addressed his dancing at the concert. “It’s very difficult when you’re on a raised platform under a lot of lights…I felt I didn’t put my best foot forward.
“If you started doing interesting dance moves on that platform next to the King, I am not sure it would have gone down that well.
“As Hitch said in the movie, ‘You’ve got to stay in your safe zone’.”
Wrapping up the chat, Adil said: “Mike Tindall you’re an absolute legend for the Royal Family and what you do for the Parkinson’s Charity.”
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
