The Gunners have been busy this summer in a bid to reinforce the squad that narrowly missed out on a top-four finish last season.
Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos and Matt Turner have all come in, while there have been multiple exits.
Bernd Leno secured a move across London to Fulham earlier this week to join Matteo Guendouzi, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Alexandre Lacazette as the permanent outgoings.
The club are still hoping to move a few players on, with the likes of Hector Bellerin and Lucas Torreira reportedly expected to depart.
In terms of potential incomings, Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans has been heavily linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium to bolster the midfield.
When asked if any more incomings and outgoings are expected, Arteta told reporters on Thursday: ‘We are really active as you can see with ins and outs.
‘Everything is still open it’s a long window.
‘It’s incredible how much business the club has already done.
‘It shows how competitive the season is, it’s not going to stop. Players are going have the need to leave, some others to move.’
The Gunners boss also explained that the reason behind Leno’s departure was to allow him to secure first-team football, with Aaron Ramsdale the No.1 choice between the sticks.
‘With Bernd at the end it was just a professional relationship that was difficult to sustain because he’s a player over the last 11 years has always started games, he’s an international player,’ Arteta dded.
‘I spoke to him last night, it’s a man who will be remembered here.
‘It’s been a privilege to work with him but in football, you have to make decisions and try to get the best out of your players and play the way you want to play.
‘Bernd has found a move that he’s really happy with and we at the club wish him all the best.’
