Millie Bobby Brown actually got this Stranger Things tattoo in real life

Millie Bobby Brown had her life turned Upside Down (in a good way) thanks to her role as Eleven on the Netflix smash-hit series, Stranger Things.

In fact, the show, which is set for a fifth season, catapulted her to such stardom that the 18-year-old actress now has a tattoo on her wrist in dedication to the sci-fi series. Yes, you heard that right!

In small black ink, Millie sports the number “011” on her wrist, which is the number she was given while in the Hawkins lab before escaping and finding her buddies.

As well as her Stranger Things-related tattoo, the British actress, who is gearing up for the release of Enola Holmes 2, also appears to have a rose inking on her back and a dainty heaty tattoo on her collarbone.

It’s unclear whether Millie Bobby Brown will add to her collection of tattoos in the future, but we’re happy to see her acknowledge the origins of her fame.

Her gratitude for the role seems even more significant because she explained that she botched an audition shortly before Stranger Things.

In a recent interview with Allure, Millie got candid about her start in acting and recounted how a “disastrous audition” discouraged her enough to almost end her career before it even took off.

She explained that when she was just 10, a “powerful casting director” brought her to tears when they told her she “wasn’t going to make it in the industry.” The reason? She was “too mature.”

“I always knew that I was mature, and I couldn’t really help that,” MBB, who at the time thought maturity was “a good thing,” elaborated. “Being told that it wasn’t, that I wouldn’t make it in this industry, it was so hurtful. I got really down about that.”

However, Millie’s parents, who had trusted her talents enough to move their entire family from England to Los Angeles just two years prior, encouraged her to try her luck one last time. “My parents told me, ‘Just do this one last audition on tape, and then you can go outside and play with your friends again.’ So I said, ‘Okay, yeah, I should do this one because it looks cool.'” That audition, of course, was for the Duffer Brothers. And the rest is history!

So moral of the story: Don’t let one bad experience or naysayers stop you from giving up on your dreams!
