Travis Scott was the headliner and Drake made a surprise appearance. And despite numerous reports that things went horrifically sideways early on, the show went on. And so did the after-party.
Just like the concert itself, Drake’s plans to celebrate at a Houston strip club post-Astroworld should have been cancelled.
But according to several videos and photos on social media, the rapper went and partied anyway.

Drake, who has been named in multiple lawsuits related to Friday’s tragic events, reportedly dumped a whole lot of green into the laps of some of the dancers at Area 29.
One clip, posted to Instagram by Drake’s pal, DJ Akademiks, shows about two handfuls of ladies counting large stacks of cash on the club’s floor.

“They saying #drake went to the strip club in Houston and threw like a milly,” Akademiks captioned the post.
“Say ‘thanks, Drake!’” the man filming the women collecting their money can be heard saying, as the ladies reply in unison, “Thanks, Draaaaaaaaake!”

“2 floors covered with money and EVERY DANCER who worked last night went home happy,” reads the caption, accompanied with emojis of bags of money.
Drake has never been shy about spending massive amounts of money on dancers, so fans weren’t disappointed in all the cash being thrown around but, rather, the lack of respect considering what went down earlier that night.
At least eight people are dead, including two high school students, a mechanical engineering technology student, and a man who was trying to save his fiancée – as well as hundreds more injured.
A college student has since been declared brain-dead while a nine-year-old is in a medically-induced coma.
Drake broke his silence about the tragic events Monday in a social media post, in which he wrote about how heartbroken he was.
But considering his statement came a couple days after he hit the club, many questioned the rapper’s sincerity.

Drake has yet to confirm whether he was actually at the strip club but in a screenshot of a since-deleted post from the club itself, the “God’s Plan” rapper was definitely there.
