A NUMBER of flights from a Scots airport have been cancelled tonight due to bad weather.
Heavy fog at Aberdeen Airport meant planes struggled to land and take off.
Several planes were spotted circling above the airport this evening, unable to land safely.
Flights heading for Aberdeen had to be diverted to other airports, the Press and Journal reports.
It’s understood that a flight from Manchester was diverted to Inverness after it circled around Aberdeen for 45 minutes.
Departures have been cancelled since 5.45pm by a number of different airlines.

The cancellations have left passengers stranded at the airport.
The airport’s website has urged passengers to contact their airlines for more information.
Delays and cancellations are expected to continue into the early hours of the morning.
