MLC 2023: Teams add a domestic wildcard player each to squads – Times of India

Giving a final shape to their squads, the six teams of the inaugural Major League Cricket (MLC) T20 tournament picked a domestic US player each to their squads through the MLC Domestic Wildcard Draft, which took place on July 3.
The tournament will be played from July 13 to 30 at two venues in North Texas and North Carolina.

The six players picked from the Wildcard Draft have played Minor League Cricket and four of them have already represented he US national team.

Here’s how the draft went to add a 10th domestic player to the squads of six teams:
Pick 1: Texas Super Kings – Mohammad Mohsin (leg-spinner)
Pick 2: Los Angeles Knight Riders – Gajanand Singh (batsman)
Pick 3: San Francisco Unicorns – Amila Aponso (left-arm spinner)
Pick 4: MI New York – Jasdeep Singh (Fast bowler)
Pick 5: Washington Freedom – Usman Rafiq (all-rounder)
Pick 6: Seattle Orcas – Nisarg Patel (all-rounder)

From the above list, Gajanand, Jasdeep, Rafiq and Patel have all played international cricket for USA.
