He has been a key player for Jurgen Klopp’s side over the years having helped the side to win as many as seven trophies including one Premier League and one Champions League.

Mohamed Salah

The 87-cap Egypt international has made headlines with a recent post in which he insisted that he is devastated to see Liverpool missing out on a top-four place this season which means that there won’t be Champions League football at the club next season. following his social media post, speculations about his immediate future have started.

According to Todofichajes, Salah’s agents have gotten in touch with Real Madrid regarding his potential availability this summer as they want to make the most of the unavailability of Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland. Real Madrid have been long-term admirers of Salah but failed to land him at the Santiago Bernabeu in the past.

Liverpool find themselves in a tight corner this summer as they need to spend heavily to bolster their squad. However, as a result of missing out on Champions League football, they are set to incur severe financial loss. Salah is one of the players who could be used top raise cash for reinvesting into the squad.

However, Salah is one of the few indispensable members of Jurgen Klopp’s side who has delivered despite Liverpool enduring a season to forget. He has 30 goals and 15 assists to his name this season in 50 appearances across competitions. It is quite understandable that the Reds would have been in a much more difficult place if not for the Egyptian King.

This will be a make or break summer transfer window for Liverpool and retaining Salah is a must for them. Cashing in on him might look an attractive proposition financially but from footballing point of view, he is almost irreplaceable at Anfield.
