Mohamed Salah’s diet plan has been revealed after Liverpool team-mate Andy Robertson poked fun at the Egyptian star’s physique.

Salah has been in stunning form for the Reds, scoring an astonishing 15 goals in just 14 games so far this season, helping his side to maintain an unbeaten record after the first 10 league matches.

He also became the first player in Liverpool ’s history to score in 10 games in succession, with Burnley, Brighton and Atletico Madrid the only teams to prevent him finding the back of the net.

One of his signature celebrations is to throw off his shirt, giving supporters a look at his shredded abs, though not every one has been impressed with Salah’s body.

Liverpool left-back Robertson this week poked fun at Salah after the Egyptian posted a photo of himself in the pool on his Instagram story.

Salah tagged Robertson in the post along with the sweating emoji, which showed the attacker wearing only swimming trunks.

But the Scotland star was less than impressed despite Salah’s stunning physique, joking that he still has a ‘Bit of body fat to lose yet’.

It has taken a strict diet and rigorous gym plan for Salah to achieve his chiselled body, with the 19-year-old regimental in sticking to it, including during Ramadan.

The Liverpool star has previously highlighted the importance of nutrition to his transformation, starting each day with some parathas and a glass of milk.

If he is still hungry after that breakfast, he will eat a bowl of fruit, before loading up on calories at lunch.

He is understood to enjoy eating lentils, vegetables, bread and chicken, as well as finishing with a bowl of yogurt.

“Nutrition is so important, it’s part of the game. It has helped with my recovery, allowed me to sleep better and helped my body adapt quickly,” Salah previously told CNN.

“My nutritionist says that because I don’t have any fat on my body, I can eat what I want. I also don’t drink so it’s fine.”

His favourite meal is an Egyptian speciality named Kushari, which contains rice, macaroni, lentils, spiced tomatoes, chickpeas and onions.

It is a dish he orders specially whenever he heads back to his home country.

“When I go back to Egypt, I call my friend from the airport to buy kushari for us to eat in the car. I pull my hoodie over my head, jump into the car and then I’m eating it straight away,” he said.

Having filled up on carbs, dinner is lighter, with Salah eating soup, salad and vegetables, along with a glass of fresh fruit juice.

Salah maintains a strict diet and workout regime

It is not only a strict diet which has led to Salah’s chiselled body though, with the Egyptian also putting in an incredible amount of gym work.

As well as his training with Liverpool, Salah does additional sessions of weight training, bodyweight work, plyometrics, yoga, swimming and stretching exercises.

Even during Ramadan, when Muslims are required to fast, Salah ensures that gets his work in, waking up at 3am to begin his sessions.

“Normally, I get up early to go for training which starts either in the morning or in the afternoon,” Salah told ON Ent.

“Then I come for recovery for almost two hours. Therapy for any injuries or specific massage so you mitigate any suffering of your body.

“After that, I go to the gym here at the club which is optional for players. After training, I do stretching and recovery again.

“Finally, I go to the pool at the club or with Makka [his daughter] at home. I finish all these activities around 7 or 8pm.”
