Mohammed Siraj has been an excellent performer for RCB in this IPL season. The India bowler has been in tremendous form this year. He had an excellent time against Sri Lanka in the ODIs, and then continued that against Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
Siraj backed that up with another stellar season in IPL 2023, where he picked up 19 wickets. As the IPL has ended, Siraj’s focus shifts to India again as they meet Australia in the World Test Championship Final.
The Indian team are up against the Aussies in the WTC Final at the Oval, which starts from June 7. And ahead of the grand clash, Australia pacer Josh Hazlewood spoke highly of Siraj’s accuracy.
“I was a bit late getting there (to RCB this year), but before then he was on fire. His control was great and he is bowling well,” Hazlewood was quoted as saying by ICC.
“He is up there at the top of the wickets every time, and the economy rate was probably the thing as bowling at Chinnaswamy (RCB’s home ground) is impossible sometimes and he was going at six or six-and-a-half an over,” the Australia pacer added.
Siraj has made an amazing turn around in his career in the last couple of years. The Indian pacer has emerged as one of the top bowlers amid the ongoing absence of Jasprit Bumrah. The 29-year-old has picked up 47 wickets in 18 Tests for India.
